Join me in France in 2012

I invite you to spend a week with me at La Combe en Périgord, in a beautifully restored 18^th century Maison de Maître (gentleman's house). According to a survey by Le Figaro, the French themselves regard the region of Périgord "the best place to eat in all of France ".

We will have hands-on cooking classes in a large French country-style kitchen, custom designed and equipped with the latest American and European appliances. We will visit local farmers' markets, and local artisans producing regional specialties. The region is famous not only for foie gras but also truffles, wild mushrooms, walnuts and duck, and of course, excellent wine.

When we are not cooking, we will still dine sumptuously, from farmhouse cuisine to Michelin starred restaurants. We will also explore the region, including the wonderful caves of Lascaux , where we will view 15,000 year-old paintings, some of the world's first prehistoric art. The group will be limited to 8 persons, and me. The cost per person is €3200 and includes all meals and lodging, as well as instruction and excursions. It does not include air and rail fare.
